SHADOW OF MORDOR — URUK EDITOR
"You thought you killed me, Tark? ...you were wrong."
Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor — GOTY Edition (x64, Steam)
HEYO fellow uruk scum, im giving you something close to my heart. Shadow of Mordor in my opinion is the best game ever. a masterclass for its time, a masterpiece i come back to every time i build a new PC, but for a long long time it was missing good cheats. because of its age. something to revive it, something different, something shadow of war has that this game doesn't, so i went awol, i went to the lab and with the help of an ai agent i went on to dig in the data mines, to find the true uruk in me, so there it is. my magnum opus, my creation, my first and last born, my everything, and my nothing.
How to use:
-
Load your save and get in-game.
-
Attach Cheat Engine to ShadowOfMordor.exe and tick Master Script (it reads the game database and builds all the dropdowns, takes a second).
-
Pick an orc in Select Uruk (or hover him in Sauron's Army, see below) and edit away under Uruk Pointer.
-
Rune Editor, Drop Chooser, All Runes and Debug Menu are standalone, they work without the Master Script.
Features:
⚔ Uruk Editor
-
Select Uruk - dropdown of every orc in the loaded region's army, shown as index: Name the Title LvN [row pos] {faction}, tagged [returning] or [dead]
-
Hover select (army screen) - hover any orc in Sauron's Army and the editor jumps straight to him
-
Refresh uruk list - one-click button, use it after promotions, deaths or switching region (Udûn / Nurn)
-
-
Name - rename any orc with a dropdown of all the game's orc names (Ratbag, the twins, everyone)
-
Level - set his power level (19 = Lv20)
-
TraitLevel - how strong his traits are
-
Keep TraitLevel = Level - keeps both in sync for you
-
-
Branded (this uruk) - Yes/No, brands or un-brands him, the correct brand mark for his head is picked automatically
-
Status - row position, army screen detail, intel level, resurrection count, interaction score (needs 150+ for cheat-death chances), player kills
-
Status flags - every flag the game uses, one per line: IsDead, CanResurrect, IsMockDead, KilledByPlayer, HasVow, IsSevered (beheaded), IsSquealer, GangLeader, HasNemesisTrait, RevengeTarget and more
-
-
Additional Properties - dropdowns for Faction, Class (archer, infantry, etc.), Row, Personality, Purpose, Role / Title ("the Drooler") and Home location
-
Last Death (nemesis memory) - who killed him last, with what attack, his resurrection style and his scar
-
Equipment / Looks - gear and weapons, appearance tags, every model slot (body, head, helmet, hair, armor pieces), scar setup, armor set and 9 colours. Looks apply the next time he spawns
Traits (strengths / weaknesses)
-
Live list of every trait the selected orc has, each one editable with a dropdown of all traits in the game
-
Add / remove traits (hook) - tick it, then use the buttons. Uses the game's own functions, so the list grows properly when it's full
-
Trait to add / remove - pick the trait
-
Game rules - 1 = play fair: opposite traits get dropped and some may be refused (it tells you which), 0 = force it in
-
Add trait / Remove trait - the buttons
-
-
Copy traits - copies the selected orc's whole trait list
-
Paste traits - pastes them into another orc. Make your perfect warchief, then clone him
-
Paste mode - 0 = only add the missing ones, 1 = make him identical
-
Paste Marker_ traits too - also copies the hidden rank/class markers, off by default
-
Cheat Death (hook)
Your nemesis comes back. With a scar. Every time if you want.
-
Mode - off / only marked orcs / every orc
-
Dice chance % (marked) - 100 = always comes back, 0 = never, -1 = game's own roll
-
Dice chance % (everyone else) - same, for mode 2
-
Always cheat death (this uruk) - marks the selected orc
-
Dice chance % (this uruk) - his own chance, -1 = use the marked value
-
-
Ignore scar limit - the game secretly only allows a couple of orcs per scar type per region, that's the "only 5 comebacks per save" thing everyone complains about. This removes it
-
Branded orcs can cheat death - your own branded captains can come back too
-
Beheaded orcs can cheat death (random scar) - yes, even with no head. He comes back with a random scar (burn, wraith, sack head, eyepatch, arrows...). Beheading still the best feeling in the game, now it's just not final
-
Bring back now - a [returning] orc comes back right away, no waiting for time to pass
-
Reveal - shows a returned orc as alive in the army screen (may skip his "surprise" comeback scene)
-
IsMockDead / Where he spawns - see the "shown dead until you meet him" state and his home location
-
Comeback ambush hook - the game sometimes loses track of a returning orc and he never shows up. This fixes it
-
Re-arm comeback ambush - queue the selected orc's ambush again by hand
-
Keep comeback ambushes queued - does that automatically every 2 seconds (on by default)
-
Raise ambush distance limit - game only spawns him within 5000 units, you can raise it (default 15000). Too high = he spawns somewhere you'll never find him
-
Teleport selected uruk next to me - he's in the world but far away? bring him to you color=#FFA500
-
Auto-teleport cheated-death orcs that spawn far away - off by default color=#FFA500
-
-
Diagnostics - counters for every step of the cheat-death decision so you can see exactly why an orc did or didn't come back
Rune Editor
-
Select rune - dropdown of every rune you own
-
Hover select (rune menu) - hover a rune in the rune menu and it gets selected
-
Refresh rune list - button
-
-
Effect - change it and the whole rune changes. Dropdown of all 966 rune effects, normal ones at every level and all the epics. The ones marked with ? have no name text in-game (probably DLC stuff)
-
Source captain / orc index / captain level / flags - where the rune came from ("Killed Târz the Knife")
-
Give a new rune - pick any effect, press Give the rune, it's in your inventory and it's saved with your game
-
Sync saved list with my runes - repairs runes given or edited with older versions of the table so they survive a reload
-
Effect values (of the selected rune) - edit the numbers behind the rune
-
Chance - the real chance (0..1). 43% headshot rune? make it 100%
-
Shown % - the % in the rune text, Keep shown % = chance keeps them matching
-
Amount record - swap what it gives (e.g. +10 Health → +50 Focus)
-
Amount: flat / percent / resource - edit the amount and type (health, focus, arrows). The rune text gets updated too when the new number fits
-
Edits are remembered and re-applied every time you enable the Rune Editor. Forget my remembered effect edits wipes them
-
Note: effect values are shared, so editing one rune's values changes every rune with that same effect.
Drop Chooser
-
Decides what rune a captain drops when you pick it up, and it's saved like a normal drop
-
Mode - 0 off, 1 specific effect, 2 random normal, 3 random epic, 4 random anything
-
Weapon - any / sword / dagger / bow, for the random modes
-
Specific effect - the rune you want for mode 1. Keeps the level of the original drop
-
-
The rune lying on the ground still shows the old effect, you get the new one when you pick it up
All Runes
-
Gives Talion the effect of every rune at once, the best level of each normal rune plus every epic, without touching your rune inventory. Your sword gets the fire, your bow gets everything, all of it. Untick it to remove only what it added
🛠 Monolith Debug Menu (F1)
The developers' own debug menu is still in the retail game, it just can't be opened. Now it can.
-
F1 open / close, arrow keys move, Enter select, Backspace back
-
Console Commands - Monolith's shortcut list, around 100 of them work in retail: game speed, skill points, Mirian, power level, skill sets, rune sets and slots, max health / focus / arrows, time of day, faction reset and more. Commands that were cut from the retail game get skipped
-
Level Browser - load the game's worlds straight from the menu (Sea of Núrnen, Black Gates, the DLC map, intro/outro, benchmark, Torvin...).
Warning: loading a world starts a fresh game and may autosave over your slot. BACK UP YOUR SAVE FIRST. -
Cheats - adds the cheats retail leaves out (Clip, God, ...) and unlocks them
-
Key - change the key (virtual-key code, 70 = F1)
-
Run the menu's update while open - needed to draw the menu, untick if it ever crashes
-
Diagnostic counters for opens, keys sent, console commands run and skipped
Read this before you cry:
-
BACK UP YOUR SAVES. Seriously. You're editing the Nemesis System, things can go weird
-
Only the army of the region you're in is listed. Go to Nurn to edit the Nurn army
-
Looks and gear change when the orc spawns again, not instantly
-
Don't tick the "all flags (hex)" value, ticking freezes it and writes those flags onto every orc you select
-
If a hook doesn't enable after an update to the game, the game version doesn't match (made for the GOTY x64 build)
