I'm new, I'm confused, I'm kinda lost

Hello as the topic says I came here from the FLR forum, even earlier from CE forum

First of all, I'm typical user of PC, no Guru of creating tables, hacking or programming - most of the time run the .exe
Second I'm tired of FLR - it all started in July of 2024, 28.07.2024 (european date standard) i was looking for table to the game named DRAKKAR CREW - its not important right now, what's important is that for some strange reason user named "MODENGINE" dropped over 10 pages of tables to each existing topics or to be more precise it created new topics to the same games, it was strange but i did not suspect anything bad.
I went to that drakkar crew cheat table and saw that cheat table size is 2.0KB - kinda small, nevertheless i saw comment that there is no options just a redirection to the side MODENGINE
it was confusing but in the past we had groups like CHEAT HAPPENS, WE MOD, CHEAT EVOLUTION - i gave it a try and downloaded a table from the FLR site, as the previous comment said there was no options just redirection to download the program - i downloaded a program, installed and there was just a paywall that made it clear that something is wrong with that

I went to MODENGINE forum - there was no userbase, 99% of the posts were written by the admin, posts made by "users" were stating that there is problem with the login, posts of admin were endorsed by the "users" -0 posts just 1 reaction, account created XX.XX.2024 - and it was last visit of that specyfic user - there were couple of "users" like that

I came back to FLR site went into that specyfic game topic and I made a post, clear as hell, with some abusive words what i think about paywalls under CE. Ofcourse post was deleted - i noticed when i tried to write MOD ENGINE - site changed my words to CheatEngine - i made a second post as a kinda apology letter stating that paywall is not equal to "alternative" as they mentioned - post was not accepted by admin

i was still active user (aka download table - run table) made by others, till today - for same as usual reasons i was looking for Farthest Frontier cheat table and since FRL table is not updated i went to google - this way i found this site - curious about i went to google once more and wrote if this site is safe, this way i learned all this mess is running in the background, nevertheless i will give it a try.

BTW for some strange reason RFL user named "MODENGINE" which was posting so many cheat tables in less than 30 mins now is called "NoByte"

And here comes the hard question: - I've seen some post of the guy who is stating that is it possible to get a access to your PC via Cheat engine scripts - how can I check if my PC was infected by some kind of third party worm - i guess typical antivirus will not work? or I'm wrong?
Even harder question: Can I trust You guys? That there is no evill will behind those tables you are posting

There's a whole rabbit hole/history to FRF that I don't want to bother explaining in this topic, so the simplest explanation, to give clarity to the situation, is FRF has continuously been getting worse and greedy, to an intolerable degree. Many users and cheat table makers have either left or been banned. Some table makers are still active on that forum and do make pretty good cheat tables, but quality and quantity, as a whole, has been declining. ModEngine is just a scam capitalizing off of FRF's already established reputation, which the admins at FRF are to blame as well, and they've made fake sites using web domains similar to this forum, and the cheat engine forum, to trick users into downloading their paywalled program.

It is possible to make malicious cheat tables, but, fortunately, as far as I've seen, all those cheat tables that just redirect you to ModEngine are extremely lazy. They just want easy money and wouldn't even put in the effort to make a virus. Although maybe they'll switch things up and actually get malicious in the future, who knows. Checking to see if you've been infected can be difficult if the goal was for it to be hidden. Reputable anti-viruses, built in Windows security, and monitoring application activity in the task manager would generally be the first things to look into and trust. There's a lot of fun user friendly tools in Microsoft's Sysinternals Suite which can help find and monitor many things on your computer, so you try dabbling with those as well.

For the question of whether you can trust "us", it would be nice to trust this entire site/community, but as shown with FRF staining it's reputation and many creators dispersing to making their own Patreons, Discord servers, or even this new forum, it'd be better to ask yourself if you can trust an individual table maker/user. Find a specific person you can trust rather than a collective. But, I can say, this forum has been pretty nice. While it's still a small community, it's continuously growing with trustworthy users.

Yeah, I noticed some tables have like 3-5 Cheat Codes in them, and then the rest redirects you to MODEngine, when you click the link to get more cheats. This was where FRF should have stopped that nonesense to begin with. Why are you posting a cheat table at a site for cheat tables that is for free with only a DEMO feature? if you want that, take it to another site.

To be fair, the only person that was a genius, was Dark Byte, creating the tool to read memory and making all this possible. Anyone who turns this into profit, isn't skilled, just greedy, cause they can't do Trainers. I noticed Trainers are less and less existant and readily available, I use to goto GameCopyWorld sites for those.

Best thing to do is look for tables that are clean, and non-obfuscated. You will find those here.

I’m new and just wanted to say hi and hope this will not be hateful/ toxic compared to fearless rev.
I had the same problem with FR. There is a fake cheat table called vivid knights and so I posted that it was fake on their thread and that it went to the mod engine website and wanted to download the program just to get the table, well that didn’t set too well with that person so they got the mods to delete my post. I posted it again and also said people have the right to know it’s fake but they deleted it again and said the person didn’t want me posting on their thread. So after that a war pursued on their website and because of that they now require people to go to discord just to sign up. FR is full of trolls, the owner STN, its mods are trolls and STN even has paid trolls. There is proof on FB if you want to see. By the way, I did report it and the mods and STN harass me then ban me.
