When I was filling my profile there was a youtube channel link. I filled it and tried to check if it works:
The link was something like this and don't work:
Code: Select all
https://www.youtube.com/c/https:/www.youtube.com/channel/UCMTwdz0-CC6RX1BVUcLwu5A
The prefix is the problem. I saw some other board members have the same issue.
Here is the solution (works only for oct.org):
Get the channel ID: https://support.google.com/youtube/answer/6180214?hl=en
Paste it in the following field:
Check if it works:

just want to point out this board is set to prefix /c/ so you need the custom url for the link to work

that's handy information, and I had no idea they'd added restrictions to custom urls...... I'll see if there's a way to make it so you put either c/CustomURL or channel/ChannelLink in the text field
I made an update to how it works, the easiest and least confusing way was to change the default to allow you to use your entire links, this way if you have /channel/ or /c/ as your link it doesn't matter
