It's probably one of the reasons why a few of us don't like to make many updates...

Gone are the days when games are shipped as finished and polished products. QA? Na, let the players do that, and we'll provide some post-support if sales do well. It does well? DLC, DLC, DLC, update, update, update... Easier to milk something doing well I guess, then gamble on making something new.

I wanna go back to the SNES, PS1, PS2 era, when you went to your local store (in my case Zellers ) looked behind their glass cases, and got that factory sealed Street Fighter Alpha 2 or Chrono Trigger game for $79.99, because at least they were finished and done games ready for consuming. PS3 and beyond was when you brought a disc home and got day 1 patches (thanks internet), and now things have only gotten worse with early access (thanks Steam)... Now I'm not saying old games didn't have bugs or glitches, but companies did put a little extra effort into their products before going "gold" status and sending things off to factories for mass printing / shipping to stores, etc. There was no going back if things go sour, so you made extra sure things were good to go right outta the gate.

Anyway, enough of my old man rambling. Could I request Revita for my next game Umbra, please and thank you.

Yeah I miss those days of getting a game that actually worked without needing 20 updates to fix performance or game breaking bugs that should of been caught in development. I think one of the worst cases I have played when it first released was cyberpunk. I played the ps4 version on the ps5 as there was no ps5 version to start with and the amount of crashes I had was crazy lol. I still finished the game and enjoyed it for the most part but it's crazy to think anyone would release that shit as a final product. That was some pre alpha level performance lol
