Zenbeau, how difficult/time consuming would creating something like this be for something like Scarlet Nexus? I have no idea what the coding looks like it even where to begin.

not too hard once you get used to it. Scarlet Nexus can use DX11 or even DX12. there are not a lot of DX12 imgui hook templates out there, more of them are DX11, you can find a lot of DX11 hook template projects on GitHub to work from. and from what i noticed playing games with DX11 and DX12 is that DX11 is usually more stable so i would work with the DX11 hook. but that means your users will only be able to hook the imgui menu while playing in DX11 mode only. I can try to help you out if you wanna get started. and Scarlet Nexus is a 64-bit game, so you can't use visual studio's inline asm assembler. you could use MASM to write code in assembly in visual studio, that's what i do for my 64-bit games. for activating scripts, you can write them in assembly in visual studio, for handling pointers or even making fly/speed/teleport cheats, that is easier in C++

Thanks for the response. I used to work in C and basic but now I'm in my 50s and my brain does not work like it once did. I mainly asked to get an idea of what coders are using. I'd like to get back into it but I forget my place when doing fine work like coding. Just know that I appreciate your work. 👍 Your FFXIV trainer makes the game fun again. :D

ah so you really are an OG haha. feel free to join my discord (https://discord.com/invite/vUh3yVpu3p) if you ever want to pick my brain and get adjusted with coding again. i don't know what it's like to be 50, but try to do what you're passionate about and you will love doing it!

Thanks. I'll check out the discord. I have already accepted that I am now crap when it comes to mentally heavy tasks. I'm disabled and on meds so my intelligence is not what it was, but I'm not in too much pain. yaaay... :P
